Getting better value
Since Homebase is now owned by GUS (owners of Argos) and the GUS's HQ is in MK, it's no suprise that they've built a decent store in the city. But I'm much happier with the fact that the prices have started to come into line with the rest of DIY land. I used to routinely avoid the place for fear of being charged £1.99 for 3 screws in a plastic bag.
