About Us

In April 2004, Capio were appointed to carry out 9,000 operations in partnership with the NHS. Operations are being carried out nationally across 12 Strategic Health Authorities, with patients being treated in existing Capio hospitals. In May 2004, Capio signed the largest public sector care contract ever awarded to a private healthcare provider in the UK. Under this contract 95,000 NHS patients will be treated by Capio over 5 years, in nine specialist centres - five newly built, two in NHS facilities, and two in Capio's existing hospitals in England. Capio’s consultants are all fully accredited and are listed on the GMC specialist register. The Capio operating theatres utilise ultra clean-air technology, minimising the risk of hospital infection with bacteria such as MRSA. All Capio healthcare facilities are inspected and fully registered by the Healthcare Commission. There is on site free car parking for you and your visitors.
