How a broken TV made me a wealthy woman

7 months ago, I went to turn on my TV at 8 PM. But there was neither sound nor picture. The TV was dead. "*&%*!" I thought. "Here we are in the ‘credit crunch' and NOW I have to spend money to buy a new TV!"

Grumbling, I called my friend Linda and told her my TV had blown up. She said, "That's GREAT! Now you can cancel your TV license and save £12 a month!" "Wow. You're right!" I replied. "AND, I can cancel my cable too. That's another £15. Here I was thinking I would have to spend on a new TV, and instead I have an extra £25 a month. I feel rich."

After that, my whole life changed. I used the evenings to write. I finished my book and started live book readings. New coaching clients came from the events. I started exploring LinkedIn and other social networks. My business improved and I was having fun. I felt richer than ever.
