Having found gallons of water gushing out of a broken garden tap at 2.00pm on Christmas eve I wasn't hopeful of getting it mended before new year and after doing the rounds of the DIY chain stores (all of which closed at 4.00pm) the remaining hope was diminishing fast. Fortunately New City was open until 6.00pm and whereas staff in all the chain stores had prevaricated and wasted my time for 20 mins before admitting they hadn't got a clue, the guys at New City just casually picked up the broken tap and dug out a replacement in about 30 seconds - brilliant. will use these guys every time in future - and I didn't find them expensive either.

I've never actually used these guys as movers but was driving home one night to find their van blocling the road. I asked if they could nove forward 3ft so that I couldget past and got some very robust Ango-Saxon replies. I went back to my car to get a number for the local community policeman and three of these guys surrounded me demanding to know if I "had a problem" - very scary. Can't imagine what it would be like if I'd actually compalined about their service.
